So this was a piece that I created for the Mermaid swap recently and since my partner has received and posted the pictures that I would share the wall-hanging since I was so darn tootin' proud of it!

I wanted to keep it-but knew I had to give something to my partner!!!   Grin

Closeup of the center-which was handpainted by me with craft acrylic paint.  It's permanent and does not need to be heat-set.  It's a nice medium because it allows for fine detail-but since I have been playing around with the paint for about 6-7 years, it's great!

Hope you all enjoy!!

the handpainting is gorgeous.  I like the quilt as a whole.  I guess sometimes our crafts are like our children.  We have to send them out into the world to make other people happy, but at the same time, it breaks our hearts to do so.  Good job!!!

That's awesome.  I love that it's paint and not fabric like I thought.  The batik fabric is a brilliant choice as well, it really enhances the theme.

Great job!

Looking for postcards from anywhere to use for RSVP cards for my 8/2012 wedding.  Have 80/200.
