The mallow pumpkins are out again... that can only mean one thing... autumn is here! Its time to celebrate my favorite season, and this year Im doing it in a decidedly festive way... Bunting!

I got this idea from my cousin's wedding, she had beautiful traditional bunting (flags) up everywhere.  It's a great way to use up leftover scraps of festive fabrics.  To make the letters, I printed out different fonts and cut them out of felt.  Appliqueing them on was fun (yikes), but I managed it ok.  I machine embroidered two little fall trees for the side flags.  You can see more detail here:

I'm totally making more of these for each season.  It's not totally Halloween, but the colors are Halloweeny enough I think.  Good for September, you know, godda' ease into the season Smiley

I was oggling the costumes at WalMart just an hour ago. LOL!  I came back with a bag o candy corn in my shopping bag and for some reason, my hubby doesn't believe that it jumped off of the shelf and into my cart. Hehehehe....

Lovely idea and great use of odd bits of fabric. Cheesy

I just took out about every halloween craft book my library had and of course there were lots of these, but I have to say, only yours really made me want to make one! It is so fun.
