I love the nerves but that EP is soooo hard to find (I thought we had it but I realized I was thinking of a different band on the DIY series- the shoes)!!!! I am mad with jealousy!! I think that they only pressed 1000 of the original 7". Do you have it on CD?
I like their version of hanging on the telephone so much better than Blondie's!!

the nerves EP was recently re-released on vinyl (10" i think) by some label in spain.  i haven't been able to find it in the u.s. yet and it was too expensive to ship direct from the label when i first heard of it.
i have only a cd-r of the nerves stuff (not to be confused with the band the nerves on amazon.com - that's a different band!!!!)  made from some mp3s i found years ago.  i have heard that DIY series before, now i see what you're talking about!
i can send you the mp3s i have if you don't have them.
did you know that one of the guys in the nerves ran some kind of blondie fan club, which is how blondie discovered and re-recorded that song?
at least, that's what i heard some really long time ago..maybe i'm wrong! but if that's true, isn't it charming?
if you like the nerves, you may also like a band called the adverts - the adverts are way more punk, but their songs are so well put together.  "crossing the red sea with the adverts" is a favorite of mine!!

boygirlparty- thanks I just PM'd you!! I will have to check out the adverts. I haven't heard of them. Thanks for the heads up!! Grin

I couldn't believe it myself when I say the used "nerves" CD in a record story. With the floral cover I knew it wasn't the same band!  Angry Oh well!! I really appreciate your sharing the mp3's you have!

I got a great CD from Kate today, who I believe is Iris?? I'm sorry there was no user name on it Sad

It's has a super cute hand painted lemon on the case, and pretty gold writing on the liner notes.

A few girls posted the track list already so no big.

Thanks so much, this is a really good mellow cd Smiley
