Was wondering if anyone had any ideas for something fun to either make or buy to place in the yard on top of our septic system. Right now, we have an old tire there and it looks god-awful! It needs to be light enough that it can be moved easily when the tank needs to be accessed. We were thinking of getting some kind of garden gnome or maybe a planter, but I was hoping for something more creative. Any ideas? Thanks!

Maybe build a fairy house? It can be made out of an upside down planter, so it is hollow on the inside.

Not sure if you are still looking for ideas...but here's one that worked nicely at my grandmother's cabin.  A few years ago we painted the lid a dark, mossy green then parked an old wheelbarrow on top, filled with potting soil and bedding plants.  It became a much better focal point for her yard.
