I've always been one to wear a lot of hair accessories but lately love has intensified.. I've been churning out lots of hair clips & fascinators.

The newest one, which I finished today is done with a little wire bird's nest. I have no idea who to credit the original idea with as I have seen it all over, but I think they're really cute.

Here are a few more that I've made lately:

I have a craft blog where I have more of my things posted if you're interested in seeing the rest.

Great stuff! I love the brids nests too.  I just finished making a couple of small copper wire nests to make into hair clips (barrette style, since my hair doesnt like bobby pins).
The feathers you used are perfect and look fab.

Thank you!  Grin

The bird's nests are so fun, they're simple to make and such a cute embellishment.

Thank you so much! That's very sweet =)

I get them mostly at craft stores, usually in the floral department. You can get really cool feather bunches bound together, if you cut apart the floal tape and pull out the wire you end up with some lovely feathers for all sorts of projects. Hobby Lobby is really good for this, especially when they have sales on floral stems- you can get the feathers for half off. I find that they're usually a better quality for less in the floral department than the 'craft feathers'. I also have a pretty nice collection of vintage feathers & materials that I inherited.
