Jinjeet, where do you live? Heheh you're a redhead? Gingit is my nickname here too. If you have a friend here then yes, have them go look. I didn't mean anything by the Orthodox comment except that there are a lot of dark, woolish bolts. Not too much in the way of baby fabrics but it's def worth a look. It's way down Yaffo Street, almost to Shook Machne Yehuda. If your friend knows the shook, tell him/her direction wise to start from the shook, then walk down to the side of the shook (towards the direction of King George street) there is a big kind of junky mall (i forget the name, probably "Mircaz something or other" if you go on the street with the mall across to Yaffo street from Agrippas, and make a right at Yaffo and walk down (again in the direction of King George) then you will see a store with tons of bolts of fabric out front and big signs that say 8 shek and hopefully some 5 shek. There is always something there to be admired. sometimes nothing amazing, but like some cute striped jersey knit stuff or other stuff that is for sure cute and useful. The really interesting stuff sometimes is harder to find but they usually have a bolt of cool stuff at least.

Lol, yes, I am also a "jingeet" Just a nickname that stuck on me.  I'll give a call to my girlfriend that has a sister that lives in Jerusalem.  Hopefully she will go take a look for me.  I appreciate the great directions and I understood what you meant about the type of people they cater to.  That is just the way it is.  I'm really hoping she will find me something.  She makes jewelry so hopefully she will understand the type of fabric I'm after.  Thank you again for the great tip!!!
