Here are 2 ideas & one recipe for those who might be hosting a twilight party in the future.

First up is Rosalie's Werewolf Kibble.

This is the classic puppy chow treat, and the recipe below gives you the amount that would fit into a 1-quart jar.  This way you can adjust the amount you need by how many jars you plan on making.

    Wolf Kibble Recipe
    1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    3-1/4 cups Chex rice cereal
    3 Tablespoons creamy peanut butter
    1/2 cup powdered sugar

Put cereal in a large bowl.  Place chocolate and peanut butter in a small microwave-safe dish.  Microwave chocolate mixture on high for 30 seconds.  Stir.  Continue to microwave for 15 seconds at a time, stirring each time until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.  Pour chocolate mixture over cereal, and stir gently until the cereal is well-coated.  Add powdered sugar a little at a time, stir and continue to add until well-coated.  Spread Wolf Kibble into a single layer and allow to dry.  Store in 1-quart canning jars.

The fabulous labels you see in the picture are from bitebella.com.  There are a couple of free printables available on the site, and you can find them here.

My second party treat (or small gift idea Wink) is Volturi Thirst Quenchers.  I actually borrowed this idea from a friend's party I recently attended.

These were super simple to make.  Just get 1-pint canning jars and fill them Sour Patch Kids (I'm addicted to those suckers).  Then, create a label on your computer.  The label reads:

    Volturi Thirst Quenchers
    Unsuspecting Tourists from Italy
I printed the labels out on cardstock and used double stick tape to attach them to the jars (Note: I had better luck with the labels adhering to the smooth jars than the designed ones, but with a little holding the tape did give a good stick on these quilted jars...just remember to wait until the ink is dry so it does not smear.).

I hope you find these ideas useful in the future.
Enjoy! Grin

Funny!  I'll think I'll use the idea to make similar things and give them as presents for my True Blood loving friends!

AWESOME!  Can I steal, er, I mean 'borrow' your idea for a school bake sale?  These would sell out in a heartbeat!

Awwww...thanks for the fab comments!

And yes, steal away. Grin

I'm going to use both for a Halloween party so I'll be adapting them by just using the werewolf chow and vampire thirst quenchers. Cool

Those are awesome. I hope to do a Twilight themed party in the near future, like for one of the movie releases.

Just one question. Is there anything you could suggest that would be a good substitute for the peanut butter in the kibble? I have a bad peanut allergy, and a bad habit of snacking while I cook. lol

My Swaps:

Will do personal swaps to receive fabric yardages. Also, if you are looking for costume work, I will work in trade or swap. I have an available Singer Pixie, is anyone interested?
