Oh wow! Those are absolutely awesome! I love them! And I did a search for them on ebay, and you're right, you can get them for hella cheap! Grin

Look at the stars,
look how they shine for you,
and all the things you do.

Those painted connies are awesome.  They remind me of that bubblegum ice cream I used to love as a kid.

You cannot spraypaint shoes, the finish comes off very easily takes forever to dry on leather

Converse (at least if you find the old ones) are just canvas & rubber. They might have a size on them (like most fabrics) but if you washed them before trying to spray paint them (and they are machine washable, again, at least the made in USA ones are). No one should have a problem spray painting them. ^.^
Of course you don't want to use car interior paints, that crap is, well... crap, and for vinyl usually, not canvas.

(They look a lot better now that I've been wearing them for a while and they've accumulated a nice amount of dinge. Converses look weird when they're new.)

Yeah, no kidding. I've had mine for 3 years now Smiley They're totally falling apart but they look comfy and feel comfy!

I don't seem to be the same today as I was yesterday.

They look gorgeous, great job! Smiley
I love my Chucks, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to do anything quite so creative to them.. For now, I've taken to hanging charms off the laces [my charm bracelet broke  Cry]. It looks really great, and it's a nice personal way to jazz up your shoes!
Though I have to say, one day, when I'm feeling more adventurous, I'd love to try a project like yours. Nice one!

i have this yellow pair of con hightops that i dont wear because they are banana yellow and look insane.

haha I have the same ones I got at a Converse Outlet in Orlando, FL a few years ago. Under 10$ I think. They do look pretty nuts.. but I wore 'em anyway... until I washed them and they seemed a bit smaller... but I cut them into low tops (as close as i could by my dull scissors). Yay for banana chucks!
