I just made this for my sister's birthday & it fits the challenge as well. If you haven't seen Coraline, you probably won't understand. I even created a letter to go with the box from "The Other Mother."

From $1 Tree:
Small Shadow Box

My own supplies:
Black & white paint
Spool of thread

I used the shadow box so it could be hung on the wall instead of just sitting on a table somewhere.

holy crap, this is amazing. i loved the book&movie and i absolutely love this!
