This costume was a headache and a half, but I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. I decided I wanted Margaery's dress from her garden scenes with Sansa about a month prior to New York Comic Con. What followed was a mad dash to find the right fabrics and mock up a pattern that would fit me properly (I don't have Natalie Dormer's chest, so the fit there was really really difficuly), and then finding a wig that had the same length/texture but wasn't blonde (light hair + me = the worst). Totally worth it in the end. I wore the dress two days at NYCC and it had a great reception!

This is what I was aiming for...

And here's how it ended up looking...

Thanks for looking!

It turned out quite lovely!  The dresses on the show are just gorgeous with so much texture and detail...I think you captured the essence of the dress so nicely!  The shoulders are lovely and the fabric you picked looks opulent...

Will you be doing anymore dresses from the show?

I don't know the characters, but that dress is stunning, and you look so beautiful. Only wish I could sew that well.

I have a split personality, because you guys crack me up.  AND The best day I ever had was TODAY!
