This is Annette from Knitty. I used less than 5 balls of Knit Picks Shine Sport for the size S. I didn't fancy the cropped look so I lengthened the body by adding another buttonhole.

More pictures and details here.

Nicely done!  This fits you well and is finely executed!  Love the color!  Keep knitting!

I must say, I'm impressed!

Seeing this pattern in Knitty, I didn't give it a second look. It seemed bulky under the shoulders, and had relatively little shape compared to this one that you knit up. After your post, I may just pick up my needles and stash of shine sport and get to knitting. It seems like a great cover up for summer tanks when the weather starts to get chillier.

Did you add any shaping while lengthening the sweater? Your version looks curvier!

Ooh, I love this! And I agree with fragolina -- I didn't really look at this pattern in Knitty, but I like your version a lot, and now you've got me eyeing this for my queue. I like the extra length in the body, too. Great job! It's lovely!

Nope, I didn't add any shaping. I suspect the one shown in the pattern has a bit of positive ease so it looks kind of boxy. Mine has zero ease. I think the Shine Sport also helps in that it's pretty drapey so it clings a little since the top has no ease.

I knitted this twice actually. The first time (too small) I didn't add any length and let's just say, the cropped look isn't my thing.  Grin

Yours looks better than the one on Knitty!  I like your version so much better! Great job!

Yours looks great!  I love the length you did - I'm not much for cropped sweaters either.

Also, live long and prosper Wink
