Hi everybody!
I'm new in here and I realllllly reallly like it so far. So many things! so much inspirations!

First I need to say: I don't know how to sew. I'm really good at others things. But not sewing. and it makes me sad sometimes....
but this time I was pretty pleased!
Let me present you my daughter modeling Butterbeer the Crab onesie.
All I did was handsewing the 12 pieces of fabric to it the best I could.

now I won't close up more. You would see all the fault. (there's a lot of them!)
I love it! Too bad she ruined it with food... Sad

and another project, correct me if I place it in the wrong section. (there is so many! I get lost easily in here!)

These are shoes that I found at goodwill. size 2 (already outgrown...)
they were all pink with white shoelace... A tad boring.

But with little help from black acrylic paint and textile medium, they became really nice punky girly shoes Smiley

thanks for looking at my first show-off!

Yes, WELCOME!

Ooooohhh, what a sweetie you have!  The shirt is adorable -- you did a great job, especially hand-sewing!  (And food on a onesie -- ruined!?  Nah -- it just adds character.)
Fabulous job on the shoes, too... sooo cute.  Can't wait to see more of your creations. Smiley

Super cute!!! I love the shoes. I've looking for some second hand chucks to revamp, but I haven't been able to find any. Your baby is adorable and by the way this is the right place to post your creations. Good Job

Thanks a lot for the sweet comments ! Cheesy
I will sure post some more when I get some times.

I think they both look great!!

Those shoes are amazing!  Would you mind giving any more details on how you did them?  They are great!
Here's what I used:

Jo Sonja's Textile Medium
Americana Black
0 size Paint brush
Black shoestrings with white skulls on it.

You mix the paint with the medium 1/1. Then you just let your mind flow for the partern. Like I said, it was 2 characters I draw often so I paint them straight away.
Since she has only wear them once (as I expected her to...) I didn't put a overall coat of medium, which I usualy do on normal clothing.
I might do it before selling them on my etsy. When I can get around fixing a price, and parting with them....
I had an extra black skulls shoelace (yes, I do sometimes, don't you?) and cut by half the job by changing them. Else I wound have polka-dotted the white ones.
(so now I have an extra pair for a future project! yay)

Well now I know what you used for the paint! I never knew you could mix those together like that ! Tongue! I absolutely love both of your items! And hand sewing is no fun for anyone! You did a great job! :]

Adorable!  I just love crab images and especially on kids' clothes, because aren't we all crabby once in a while?  I have to agree with Barbolot, food stains on baby clothes don't ruin them, they give them "patina."  The shoes are a great revamp, too!
