Thanks!  Cheesy

Luvelycritter it's not hard at all! Just give it a shot!  It reminds me of making clay sculptures....when you would roll a ball, then a log to attach as an arm, then another etc. I form and needle felt each appendage separately first, leaving the joining end less felted....then attach them together....using more wool as a sort of skin over the join to make it look smooth. It just takes a little practice to see what works!

oh thanks! i bought a small kit a few months ago, to make an applique flower, the roving was synthetic, so it didn't work, and the needles broke half way.. luckily it was only 5 bucks, the stuff i bought now is good stuff, the needles are this thick pen that can hold 3,2 or one needles for quick finishing, i'm afraid to poke myself to death so i'll start with one needle, where tho, do you put your spare needles?

Do you have a foam pad to felt on? You can use a piece of upholstery foam ( like a chair pad) or even a thick kitchen sponge. You don't really want to stab into the foam when felting-just into the wool, but having the pad protects the needles from breaking. I usually store extra needles by sticking them into the side of the foam pad I have....or into a wool felt pin cushion I made by just needle felting an egg shape....or you can insert the sharp ends into coffee stirrers and put them flat-somewhere safe away from little ones.

These are sweet little critters!  I've never tried needle felting, but hopefully I will sometime in the future!
