So i went to the Bristol Ren Faire again this year Cheesy  it was so awesome! we went on Gay Day so there were some pretty rad costumes lol.
anyway, every year i make a new bodice to go with my skirts.  the skirt fabric was like a dollar a yard when i got it so i want to use them as much as possible so my costume stays cheap Smiley  so the skirts are the same as last year but i made a new bodice and a new chemise.  i like them better than last years, they fit a lot better.  (here's last year's costume: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=266797.0

i used a pattern, i forget which one...but i modified it quite a bit.  i had to make it a lot longer and i had to change all kinds of stuff to make it lace in the front because it wasnt supposed to (yikes!)  i made 3 mock ups before it was right.  but putting the finished piece together only took about 2 days Smiley  it was definately a much easier pattern than last years, even with the modifications i had to make.

and here's this years costume!  we didnt get nearly as many pictures this year, so i dont have super good pictures Sad oh well Smiley

heres a little closer

and the back.  this one was laced a whole lot tighter this year.  i could barely breathe last year, so this was a challenge, lol

my sister and i

sorry, no guy picking his butt this year! lol!  and no batman either Sad  there were a lot fewer people in costume this year Sad

do you like it?Huh?

I love the outfit. Our rennie got water logged this year. Way to much rain and no where near the amount of people came on the opening day due to that. However, us loyalist were there tried and true. I actually got to see all the wares this year. LOL So, that was a positive point.

So fantastic! It looks like some of the corsets they had in two of the shops.. Casta Diva or something like that? I agree, though, a lot fewer people in costume this year.

I love it. Your dress is beautiful. I think you outdid yourself.

I will never forget Batman though. It's a shame he didn't join you guys this year. I can never look at Ren Fest the same again after that, lol.

Tell your sister I adore her dress. I love the sleeves so pretty and flowing.

That's gorgeous - why don't we dress like that anymore?...  Yeah, I guess being able to breathe is nice  Smiley But it's so pretty!  Beautiful fabric in that corset.

Though I don't approve of the wearing of corsets on the outside of Ren costumes, I love the colors you chose and it is a beautiful ensemble.   Smiley
