I'm starting a coloring book art revolution. I maintain that coloring books can equal art as long as your contribution to the original image is significant.

The following are selections from a Dover Thrift dinosaur coloring book. With a few markers, perhaps a little too much free time and a bit of brilliance, I created these babies.

art deco dinos

brachiosauri

stegawesomesaurus

paisleysaurus

Thanks for looking!

I also believe that the 'Stegawesomesaurus' is wickedly cool.  So much eye movement.  I keep looking at it.

Like the others, my favorite is the stegawesomesaurus, though they're all pretty dang awesome. I also like the way you colored the backgrounds, as simple as that is.

I can just hear the one brachiosaurus asking the other, "Do these stripes make me look fat??"

These are too fun.

I have done a few others from a circus coloring book, so they're mostly tigers, zebras, elephants and horses. I would love to attempt a mermaid!

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked absolutely awesome.  I wish I could print these out and make a collage for my living room but i think a trip to the dollar store for supplies (already have coloring book just need makers) will have to suffice.   I'm so totally going to 'freak' my 11 yr old dd out when I  borrow your fantastic idea and make some disney fairies pixie hollow for her room.     It just never ceases to amaze me all the 'talented inventive' women on this board.   you so rock.
