Whew, this was a pretty full day of sewing.  It wouldn't have been so bad, but anytime I start a project from scratch with no pattern, I'm bound to make mistakes and re-do a bunch of steps.  The second time went more smoothly, but there's still things I'm going to change for my next binder.

I took the plunge and decided to go back to school.  I've been a massage therapist for 11 years now, and it's time for me to go back to my original passion.  Working with animals.  So here I go, back to college to study zoology. I'm so excited, I can hardly stand it.  Being the obsessive crafter I am, I saw this as a perfect opportunity to craft some back-to-school items! Remember trapper keepers? Yeah, me too. This is my version! I borrowed inspiration heavily from ginia18 (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=29665571&ref=sr_list_6&&ga_search_query=school+binder&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&order=date_desc&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title) She sells her pattern for binder slipcovers, but I'm completely broke so I decided to wing it.  Sorry Ginia18, I would support your shop if I could afford to. So what do you guys think?

I did a folded expansion thingee for the inside pouch
