Kid 'N Ewe and Llamas Too festival information??

I've heard all about this festival in Bourne near San Antonio, TX. It's supposed to be quite a nice size festival and the big thing for TX fiber vendors. I had found some info. on it before, but now Googling it has proved to be useless! I can't find any info. for it at all and I figured that stuff would start popping up soon.

The website is down. Is this still happening? Anyone know anything? I really wanted to go!! I need to start planning my trip now and get a baby sitter!

From what I've found after an internet search...it will be November 13 - 15 at the Kendall County Fairgrounds in Boerne, TX. The website for it does appear to be down so I couldn't find much more info like schedule of events, vendors, etc. But I found the dates on more than one site so I think that much can be trusted.

Thanks for double checking with me WMA. I looked around some more and didn't find much else. I think I'm going to have to just make a few phone calls. Surely info. will pop up really soon! I certainly hope it's still going on. I'd hate to miss it.

there's been sooo many problems this year with kid 'n ewe. the poor poor organizer, i've met her before, and she was so nice and helpful. basically the kendall county fair grounds association was using extortion techniques to raise the rent this year for the fiber festival (there have been some threads on ravelry about it, can't get to it now, may post a link later, my RANT is included in some of those threads!!)

BUT, from what i understand, it IS still on for this year. the organizer was really persistent in making sure it was going to happen, despite the overwhelming odds stacked against her. the threads on ravelry probably have more info and i haven't checked them for a while so.....

Oh! Ive been the past two years! I really hope they have it again this year, I love going!

In fact, I just spun some wool yesterday that I got at last year's festival! It was really great! Merino + silk mmmm

And I got my first spindle and wool there my first visit at the festival a little over 2 years ago!

When I was at the DFW Fiber Fest, the vendors were all talking about it. I know they did say the dates that WMA listed. I bought alpaca from a couple Troy & Mary something...I can't remember, anyway, they said they'd be there. They also told me to book a room early because some of the hotels fill up. Which made me giggle, what an enthusiastic group, eh?

i don't know about enthusiastic, i'm more like rabid!!! it's the only fiber festival in or close to the hill country (at lesat that i know about!!) and therefore the only one close enough for me to get to.... yes, i have fantasies of S.E.X. with DFW!!! maybe when i'm richer and my kids are older!! anyways, i'm really glad to see that there are so many here who are interested in going! maybe we should wear craftster name tags? lol!
