I got three friend-themed secrets and I can relate. My resented my best friend for making the varsity volleyball team the same year I made JV. It was hard. Then my freshman year of college I had the on-campus party experience while she lived at home with her parents. I was afraid to talk to her because she might judge me or resent me. I eventually realized that a true best friend is someone that you can tell anything to, and being honest got us a lot further than keeping secrets from each other.
Now that best friend lives 10 hours from me, and I haven't been very good at making other friends. I miss having people I can talk to, but I'm tired of the silly efforts I have to make to be able to hang out with people that I can't really talk to anyway.
(BTW does the "I Miss Having Friends" secret look stretched out or is it just my computer?)

I always put myself out there for you. I was the one to call and text, even though you ignored me half the time. I made the plans that you always seemed to back out of. I asked if you were okay and listened to you when you had problems. But I'm tired of being that person. I've stopped putting all the effort in and you still put in nothing. You've become a promiscuous, drug using, self centered, lazy, immature mistress. Everything you said you'd never be you've become. When I needed you, you turned your back on me. Said you had to much to deal with. I've been dealing with exactly what your going through and more and never once turned my back. I'm still not turning my back on you but I refuse to take the first step forward. You said you feel alone. Well if you do its all your fault. I can't tell you any of this so instead I have to write it on a postcard. You're mother is dying and you can't handle it right now.

I don't think I can be your friend anymore
take back your friendship necklace.

I've also been there when a friend is doing self-destructive things. That is when they need you the most and want the least to do with you. I know it's hard for you to say these things and to decide not to be their friend anymore. I hope you can work things out when your friend is ready.

I apologize for the poor pictures...

I've smoke weed for 17 years pretty faithfully. I decided to stop-made it about a month. It was awful! I was so grouchy, mean and unmotivated and thought everyone hated me. the minute I did it again - i felt great!
back - all was right with the world. I don't understand how weed is any different than prescribed (anti-depressants) medication. both alter you....i don't think i can (or want to) live without weed!!!

i am 30 years old. my parents run my life.

My mom just ended her second marriage after 13 years. What scares me the most is what it means for my marriage. I don't want to make the same mistakes.

I didn't learn how to ride a bike until i was 15.

The same day I almost ran over a little girl tying her shoes and an old lady carrying her groceries, i did run into a bush andmy cousin on her bike. i haven't ridden another bike since that summer. it was horrifying

weed - i agree. weed needs to be legalized.

parents - i'm sorry. i don't know what your circumstance is but maybe you can make a break, or just let them know how you feel?

marriage - people learn for others mistakes. i'm sure you'll be fine

bike - i'm sorry about your bad experience.

Those are all such great cards!!

The 30 and parents running your life one, really?!?!?! How? Live it yourself. It's a fun, scary, unsure, sure, etc., etc. time...

What's holding you back?

****Leagalize weed!!!

***Really, not till you're 15? I thought it was a crime to not ride a bike as a kid... although now a days, everything is motorized. Sheesh!

It's hard not to follow in your role models (your Mom being married and divorced)... I try to remember how nice life is today, and appreciate that. maybe that'll make it easy to stick with it.

Whew!!! that was a lot. Guess I felt like talking! Smiley
