I have always loved astronomy and have currently been working (ever so slowly) on a Sol System jewelry series (bunches of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, hair pieces) based on each of the heavenly bodies- so far, I have colors set and have been working on my first set for Mercury.
I would absolutely love to join a swap like this! Smiley

The chapter on Eclipses is particularly special, as the Author feels obliged to explain at great length why an eclipse could not explain the sky turning black when Christ was crucified.

That chapter on the eclipse sounds so awesome! May I ask which book that is?
And I love your quilt idea Smiley If you end up making the cushions, please post them!

The book is "Sun Moon and Stars" by Agnes Giberne. My copy is from 1886.

And I will certainly post if I make the cushions. i have a few swaps and projects on the go at the mo, so will almost certainly take a while before i have time

I know it's been a year but I was wondering if anyone was still game for this one?  Sounds like a bunch of fun to me!

Wow, it's been a year?  I guess I just looked at the month of the first post, which was August.

This sounds awesome and if I have the time, I'd love to join.  I made a previous swap partner a necklace with beads for her natal horoscope chart, showing the positions of all the houses and planets and such.  (I made one for myself too!)  I'd love to make someone else one!  Or other solar system-related things, really.  This swap is a great idea.

My wist, always a work in progress: http://www.wists.com/Innaura
