Upon a recent visit to our storage with my parents, I came across this gem.  Apparently, my great-grandma used to make these.  There was a pink one and a blue one.  I just HAD to bring this home and display it!!!  It is too awesome to be hiding in a box!!

I didn't make this, but I just wanted to share this b/c maybe some of you crafty crocheters can figure it out and reproduce one for yourself.  Or perhaps another version?  I'd love a cat to go with it!   Smiley

I am a sucker for a crocheted toilet paper holder and this one is AWESOME! I've seen a lot of the ones that incorporate dolls (like Barbie), but the animals ones like this are super cool. Your great-grandma rocks!

I love it! I've never seen a poodle toilet roll holder and I never thought I would ever want a toilet roll holder... but I totally need one of these!!! Thank you for sharing!  Cheesy

My mom had one of these for years sitting in our bathroom. I seem to remember it was yellow. Certainly some very unpoodle-like colour anyway. I'm pretty sure that the pattern is in an early Paton's book if anyone is into digging it up.

Hehe, I made one of these in black a few months ago because it made me laugh so much. My sister always tells me not to make any 'crochet tat' for her kids because she doesn't want it in her house. She snuck it into her bag, named it Betty and it has pride of place on her loo and I have everybody asking me to make more in various colours.

I found the pattern in a book called 'Kitschy Crafts' by Jo Packham & Matt Shay

It's fabulous!  There are a few free patterns for poodle TP covers online...I'll see if I can find the link I used for mine and post it here.

The link appears to be broken, but maybe it can be found thru the internet archive?
