Oh yay!!

I just remembered about the May day thing in Harvard Sq. are you guys selling stuff or what's the deal with that? I'm thinking about going, I've never been (to the May Day thing that is) I just have to convince my husband or someone to go with me.

Holy shit, I went this weekend and it's like crafters' mecca.  ALL the people I stalk on the web sell stuff there.  It was overwhelming.  My only complaint is that the website doesn't have links to all the crafters selling there, since there were a few new-to-me people I'd like to start stalking.  The best part is just seeing in real life how wonderful everything is.  It's way better than pictures on the web.  Everything was so beautifully made and well done.

You can start stalking me  Grin www.livejournal.com/users/sabrinas_charm/

and I agree the best part is getting to see up close and in person how wonderful and well made everything is!

God-freaking-dangit!  I wish Davis Square was that cool when I lived there!  I used to live (with my sister, QueenofSwords) on Highland Ave, RIGHT UP THE STREET, in a house next door to the ridiculous National Guard Armory.  There wasn't much in Davis Square when I lived there (1992-94) other than Johnny D's and the Somerville Theatre.  And McIntyre & Moore is there now???  Oh man, I spent SO much money in that place when I used to work in Harvard Square and they had a shop there.  My fave used book store of all the places I've lived.

The guys who own the Middle East bought the armory & plan to turn it into artist studios, cafe, and small theatre.  Not sure I'd want to live right next door, though!

It seems that no one has posted on this for a while
But I will anyways
I went to Davis Sq. looking for magpie (and apartment hunting with my cousin)
with directions and a schedule in hand
vaguely remembering that I had been there before
(a friend lives there)
so I was totally excited
and WHAM! there it was in all its glory
CLOSED! they switched to summer hours
and I didn't check the website
so I spent about an hour looking in the windows trying to see what I could see
hoping to who ever is upstairs
that some cop wouldn't come along thinking that I was trying to break in
and got VERY excited about all that I could see!

Going to attempt another trip back when I get some time off
