Hi, Silver Mom,
Very nicely done.  I just made myself a purse with pleats and mine didn't come out nearly as nice as yours did.  Yours has very nice proportions between the bottom of the purse and the top - I think mine had deeper pleats and more of a difference between the top and the bottom (top was 13", bottom was 21").

The handles were done nicely, too.  Good choices on colors.  And, I always like the zipper pocket on the inside.  Very neat topstitching.  Topstitching really makes a difference, doesn't it?  It just neatens everything up.

Again, congratulations on your nice work.

I love the pattern and colors of the fabric! What a cute bag!

Love the design and fabric. It looks like it fits all of your stuff nicely.

I really need to practice with zippers a bit more. The zipper on your inside pocket looks so professional!

Thanks!  When I saw this fabric at Jo-Ann I said:"A new Purse", then I found the handles and I have a 30% discount coupon, and I put them together. Mine is 14" at the top 16" at the bottom ,and 13" high. I have another bag with these meaurements and I love the size.

Very nicely done! How long did it take you? I've been looking around for a nice purse to make, but afraid to get started.

I like it  Grin I also like the fabric you chose, it goes well with the pleats.

I wanted to add that I thought that your use of the exterior fabric on the top of the interior was very nice.  And probably stronger than the lining fabric so the snap will hold up better?

macmarie: don't be afraid! ,if you have the idea or the pattern just go slow and don't skip any of the steps. Wink If you don't understand  Cheesy stop sewing and start pinning!.  Grin That would give you an idea of how it's going to look!!...Easy....

betty bat:I like to interface all my lining because it gives more body to the purse Wink  and add sew-in interfacing to all the lining that including the top interior, that helps to keep the shape and everything holds better! Grin

My daughter said it looks from the 70's! I love it!  Grin
