Okay this project officially deserves a Nobel Fashion Prize... saving the world from belly shirts one bag at a time
Hahaha! Amen to that.

The bag is amazing  - I have a giant teeshirt that was waiting to be turned into a hoody, but now I think it's found its true calling Cheesy

This is my very first post and I'm excited about it! Greatly appreciate the tutorial. I have a cool tshirt that I want to turn into a book/everything bag. I'm not going to make it a backpack, but your basic instructions are very helpful and I'm going to follow them and just add handles.
Hopefully this will work! It's going to be my "breaking-in" project for my first sewing machine that I got this Christmas!

this is such a good idea, my son has a few t shirts that he is growing out of that he can't bear to give away but I might be able to persuade him to let me recycle them into bags for his books & toys when he goes to the childminder!

I have the same problem, some of the shirts are just too dang cute to part with.  I've been saving them in hopes to someday make him a t-shirt quilt.  @Krafty_Karasu, I've had this post bookmarked forever in hopes to someday give it a try!!!
