the latest project at my house are the mason jar lanterns. My mom and i 'helped' by giving our input Tongue although my dad basically did all the work cuz the wire is super hard to bend

this is what they look like in the daylight... it's really hard to get a nice night time picture cuz i have such a crappy camera Sad

the handle is all just one long piece of copper wire. [my dad swears he's Kieth Richards  Cheesy]

and now onto the night time pics...

with the garage light on... i think it helped a little?

i can't decide whether we should line the other side of the path with lanterns. what do you guys think, is it overkill?

Definitely go around the other edge. I'll bet this looks awesome in person.

Looks cute, but I'm wondering, whats in them?

Cause I don't see any wires or anything, but it would be really hard to light all those if they were candles.

They make these long neck lighters that will light this type of lantern.

thanks for your replies! i'm going to see if i can persuade my mother since she already made up her mind about only doing one side...

they're just little candles that my mom lights every night

I really love this idea.  They look great in all of the pictures.  I'd put them on both sides only if I really needed the effect.  I'd check the "curb appeal" on that.  I'd love to do this on my dark stairs out back but would be afraid that someone else liked them too and just took them.  Love this!!!

So cute, doing the otherside would tie it all together and brighten it up at night!

Such a great idea! I thought it looks so good in fact, that I included your project in my inspiration tuesday post in my blog. Here's the link if interested:

I also have to say that I'm really jealous of your pond! Wink
