wasn't sure whether to post this in papercrafts or jewellery! I made these for my flatmate after spending a lazy afternoon teaching her how to make origami cranes and lucky stars, we ended up folding our way through my stash of origami paper so after she went out I strung them all into a garland for her room and then made her these earrings Smiley I am thinking about making some more to sell, would love any feedback Smiley)

I quite like them  Smiley Are they flimsy, though? I'd be a little scared to wear them!

Folded paper is actually quite strong in my experience. For normal everyday wear they should be just fine. These are adorable and I really like the tiny stars. Id say you would have a few takers if you made some to sell. Perhaps try to make them shorter, the posts seem rather long and I know I dislike that because they get in my way and tangle in my hair.

maybe you could seal them with something to prevent damage if it rains or something. they're cute!

thanks everyone for the replies already!

burntspaghetti - no they aren't flimsy at all, because they are so tiny the paper becomes quite sturdy

melyssa marie - I was thinking of maybe sealing them with clear nail polish, I will have to do a trial run Smiley

reona32 - that is a good point about the length, those were the posts that I had to hand and it is fortunate that my flatmate is a) very tall and b) likes big earrings - I will have a play around with different options
