There is a Promalong thread, a few other sewalong threads, and there is a whole knittalong board, so I was wondering if there could be a Sewalong board Huh I would love to see people making the same pattern as me as their progress would encourage me to carry on. What does everyone else think?

I definitely think a sewalong board would be great! Even if it's not all just the same pattern exactly, but like similar items to be sewn... either way, it would be a handy board!

bespectacled - I think that would be cool cos loads of patterns are almost the same with small variations and you could have some people making dresses and some just making the top bit but following the same pattern. This way you could see how different people interpret patterns to give them completly different looks

This would be cool.  We could even use someone's tutorial.

great idea! i don't know how to crochet and i can't knit very well, but ____alongs seem like fun! none of my friends craft, so doing a sewalong would be like doing crafts with friends!  Wink
