I've been having a sewing block as of late, so I did a Goodwill run and picked up some stuff to play with. This was a super easy recon, just cut the dress, attached some bias binding, and stitched on some buttons. Presto... cute skirt in a couple hours!!

Now, to find a use for that lace!

Wow -- great job!  You totally changed the whole feel of the dress.  I love the buttons on the front of the skirt.

When I saw such a super cute skirt, I thought to myself, how bad could it be? Then I saw the dress, and well, I've been wrong before. Great job on the transformation, the skirt is super awesome!

It certainly was ugly, before you fixed it.

I'd do a solid color, skirt, probably black, and attach the lace to the bottom, points up.
