again, no before pics. *sigh.* basically i had the bottom half of some gray pinstripe pants that i'd shortened into a skirt and and the bottom half of some black pinstripe pants that i'd cut off into shorts, and the top half of a pinstripe skirt that i'd shortened by, um, cutting off the top half, and a little tiny bit of silky fabric that i used as straps and trim- i spliced the pants together into this dress! the gray pants were cuffed at the bottom, so i used that cuff for the top of the bodice. i gathered some lace and sewed it inside the bottom hem to make the skirt a little poofier.
i thought it came out not too bad!
