I had a stack of flannel receiving blankets from when my youngest was a baby, and when I saw the Sophie Tunic from SisBoom on YCMT I thought it would make a cute pajama top (toddler pj's aren't supposed to have elastic necklines...so a peasant top wasn't going to work).

I had enough of the green check left over to make her coordinating easy-fit pants with the main tunic fabric as a contrasting cuff.

Action shots (sorry for the pic quality, it's not easy getting decent pictures of a 21-month-old).

Ummm...they're not?

What a great use for a receiving blanket! Very, very cute!

From what I've read they're not supposed to.   Undecided  With my oldest daughter  (6 1/2 now) I had some that I'd bought, so I don't know if it's a recent thing.

Thank you...she's quite a handful now that we're getting close to the terrible 2's.
