hi..it's been such a really long time since I've post my last project here..I've been busy and lost my camera and my lap top broke down  Embarrassed..finally everything has recoverd now. it began with a 50 cents pillowcases which i found at thrift store , i think it's a way too cute for my pillows  Grin, so i make a simple skirt from two pillowcases ( i want an extra poof for my skirt ). after i finished my skirt i realized that i also can wear it as a dress but it need a cute belt to help me 'controled' the poofy ( i don't want to  be mistaken for a prego ). so here it is..i only put a tute for the bow belt because theres already many tute for a pillowcase skirt here  Grin.but i'm warning you , theres a lots of pic!

sorry about the unsymmetrical view because i have to hang my cam to shoot my pics.

as a babydoll dress or high waisted skirt.

as a cute empire dress with a ruffled bust.

isn't the rufffled pleated bust look gorgeous

it's huge but comfy.

the tute :

A to B : your underbust / waist measurement ( mine was underbust ) , 4 inch wide. measure your waistband and make sure it fits snugly .
B to C : add 1/3 of your waist / underbust measurement.
D : 8 inch long and 4 inch wide.
E : 2 inch long and 4 inch wide

fold your fabric with the measurement of your waist / underbust + 1/3 of your waist / underbust and sew along the edge to form a long tube.make sure you fold it from the top no side.

used a skewer to flip the tube ( make sure when you sew  it ,the outside fabric was folded inside ..so the seam will be inside after you flip it.

with a help from some pin , push the waistband into the 'tube '. then sew at both end of the waistband.

then you'll have a nice ruffly band.

for the bow, fold the fabric in half from side not top.sew along the dotted line and make sure you leave an inch from the end ,this will help you to flip the fabric insideout. then cut a snip at each corner.
do the same for E.

again , with the help of the skewer , flip the fabric and do the same for E.

place D on top of E.

do as the pic shows and sew along the dotted line.

repeat the process .

and tadaa you have a bow.

sew the bow at one of the waistband end , sew a hook and eye on the back of the bow part and the other end , but make sure you flip it to the other side first .

tadaaa finish..you have a cute bow belt.
