Finished this quilt top this weekend, don't usually post my quilts- but I thought this quilt pattern that I found here http://www.texasprairiequilts.com/ was a great idea for a boys quilt.  It's MUCH harder crafting for boys!!  I'm a novice quilter - would do a couple things differently next time now that I've made this.  Making this however was A LOT of fun!!  Took me 5 days sewing after work and in between wifely duties to finish.  I haven't decided on a backing yet......

It's size is 51"x57"

Ooh, this is cool. I don't usually like quilts that have literal shapes created in them, but the fabrics you chose for this made the boots not cheesy, but lovely.  Good work.

i agree with chimes.  If you're looking for suggestions I would use the green(?) fabric you used for the stars as the back.  It would unify everything.  I would use the blue from the center boot as the binding.  It is the only fabric up there with a small enough print to still look nice in the small size that the binding will be.   Plus the blue boot is in the center so it won't be right next to the border, and the whole quilt will be more balanced.
good luck!

I think I'll do that roccstarr75!!  GREAT suggestions!  The star fabric are actually cactus with a couple of blooming flowers that I though would tie the boot fabrics together.
