I came upon this shirt awhile back tucked in the bins at Goodwill outlet, and just loved all the different colors in it.  Unfortunately, a mens large flannel shirt is not particularly flattering, so I never got around to wearing it over the winter.  Of course now that it's summertime and I have time to sew again, I altered it (and finally mastered pintucks!) into something I will now likely be wearing all the time!

The before and after shot:

handy iPod pocket (the shirt was also previously missing about half its buttons, probably the reason why it was at Goodwill, ha)

it's really far too hot out to wear this, but I've been trying to all the time anyway...I can't resist!

Oooh, I love it! It's so nice and long. The pocket is a nice touch, too. Cheesy (Tute tute?)

This is a great idea! I have a white oxford that my BIL left behind. Right now it looks like a very unflattering mini-dress on me. It would make a cute blouse with the pintucks, and I wouldn't have to take it all apart. Did you make pintucks in the back too?

I saw something similar to that - with the pintucking on flannel - in a craft stylish mag and wanted to make it... this just reminded me... now to get a flannel shirt.
