You know how much I love chokers. If I could, I'd make only different sorts of them.

Five years ago, when I was nineteen, I went to Prague and fell in love with those gorgeous black faceted beads and chokers made of them. Ever since then I wanted to have one of those chokers. They are very hard to come by here in Serbia and those I found either weren't elaborate enough or they were just too expensive. So I decided to make one myself. Tricky part? Don't know how to do it. So I spent hours studying pictures of similar necklaces hoping I will find just one that would be clear and large enough for me too see what they actually look like. And I had luck to find one. Only one of hundreds and hundreds of photos. But that one was enough for me to see how it was made. Second tricky part? My supplier doesn't carry 3mm faceted beads that are essential part of this necklace. Darn. But some time ago a lady from that shop informed me that they actually have some small amount of these beads in black. Small amount? How small? Luckily, there were more than enough beads for me to make the choker of my dreams. It is made of size 11 seed beads, 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm black faceted Czech beads.

So I present to you The Mistress of the Night.

There are also WiP pictures on my DeviantArt page.

It's fabulous - How long did it take you to do it?

Thank all three of you.

It took me about six hours to actually make it. But almost a year has passed since I made that central piece. Not to mention all the tries and errors.

This is AMAZING  Shocked Did you have any sort of pattern you were going by, or did you just wing the whole thing? Positively gorgeous, in any event. *stares at the pretty*

Thanks, Windswept.
I had no pattern since there are no patterns for this sort of necklace. I just looked at the photos of similar chokers trying to find out how they were made.

We're on craftster because we love to create. Why should we settle for what we currently are?

Beautiful!  And how inspiring that you made it by only looking at pictures!  Hope you don't mind that I'm wisting it.
