My 8 year old son and 11 year old daughter are almost as obsessed with Twilight as I am, so for their birthday party this year (they are three weeks apart in the same month so they give mom a break and have one party together) they wanted a Twilight party. Of course, anything Twilight related in party supplies I would have had to order off the internet and pay mega bucks for. I spent too many hours on this pinata, and glued every square of tissue paper on by hand. I was going to just the apple, but after using up the entire package of tissue paper, and having a big blank hole staring at me, my boyfriend suggested printing out a picture of Bella and Edward and filling it with that. So lo and behold, my Twilight pinata -

I made it just using a flour and water paste, newspaper, and a roundish punch ball balloon. The stem was an empty toilet paper tube covered with mache then painted, and the leaf is some net fabric I had leftover from the poppet swap. It held up surprisingly well. All the kids hit it at least once, then the hanger pulled out and they dived on it, and that was the end of it.

Thanks for looking!

That's pretty neat. I would probably cringe every time someone hit Edward in the face though lol.

Great idea! I would have never thought of doing a pinata. It turned out so good. I would have never been able to watch it get smashed to pieces. lol. Great work and very creative!
