This is my first attempt at everyday wear for my 18 month old and I had no pattern, just and idea in my head. The end product is not what I originally envisioned, but it sure isn't bad, but you can see the areas where I thought I was going to be threading elastic... so its still just an almost good dress. What does everyone think?

I am happy with it despite its deficiancies, and I know what to do differently for future dresses. I have another that I had already cut out like this one, but after that... when i finish it I will show you that one as well.

Yes, a four inch zipper... no zipper foot on machine and I ended up sewing too close to the teeth, so it only zipps down about an inch and a half. I will also be un stitching the straps at the back and adding some elastic somehow. Its too difficult to get her in and out of it currently. I have a couple of other projects ready to post... my model is being uncooperative though. So... soon. They will be in the costume area as they are both pixie dresses for Renaissance Faire. Mirthfairy, tell Queen Twyla her daughter will be all decked out!!
