I have to say I really enjoyed the blow by blow and all the commentary!

Great job on your new room!!! It looks like a relaxing calming winter wonderland, with the cherry blossoms, wintery lamps and the cool blue colour wonderful!

Btw LOVE the bookshelf!!!

Your room looks fantastic, and I think arranging your books by color makes perfect sense. They make a very striking focal point. East of the Sun, West of the Moon is one of my favorite childhood books, too.

great job ! Its gorgeous ! Where did you find the lamps? They are really cool.

I think the tile maybe from a fire place, it kinda looks like there is the outline of one that has been plastered over.

ok, so there's a lot i could say about this great revamp... but i just have to say i LOVE the bookcase and the color-organized books.  It looks AWESOME!!!  and I just love the overall relaxed and chic feeling of your bedroom now.  Coming from someone who just ripped up all her carpet as well, I feel your pain.... but it's SO worth it.  Great job!

i like to dabble in it all... curiosity keeps me crafty.

Wow, I love your post with all the back story and in progress pictures!  Shocked  Talk about a marathon of a bedroom design and remodel with some major distractions.  The finished result is wonderful really calming and a needed retreat I am sure.  Cheesy  I love how you arranged your bookcase - I may have to try it (but for now it is alphabetical by author).  Tongue My two bookcase are from ikea too, but sadly I didn't have the ceiling height for the top piece and have not bothered with lights yet.   Wink

Wow - this room is AMAZING! The colour is lovely, and those lamps on each side of the bed?  Quite possible that I would kill someone for them.  But not you, because I enjoyed this post too much!  Cheesy
