Did you say where the "chandeliers" came from? We're re-doing a house we picked up on a foreclosure and I'm giving my 16 y/o her own room for the first time and she would LOVE to have one like that.  I'm sacrificing my privacy in the meantime by moving my 11 y/o special needs son into my (and hubby's of course) room.  I figure she'll be gone to college in 2 years so it will be okay (I hope), otherwise I'd have 3 teenage girls in one room -- a recipe for disaster.

I love the process of your whole remodel.  I especially love the layers and layers of flooring! It's amazing what you find!  You're bedroom turned out beautiful.

Okay - To answer all the questions:

1) The bookshelves and Globe Lights are from Ikea
2) The Chandeliers are from Urban Outfitters, they were recently on major sale online.
3) The Bedspread is Martha Stewart
4) I'm going to have to look up the paint color for you, but the trim was Swiss Coffee (We couldn't stop saying it to each other while painting)
5) The Floor underneath it all was SOFT wood (or Sub-flooring), not hardwood.  I lust after hardwood floors and if we'd had them, we would have refinished them.
6) For better for for worse, the Bird had disappeared by the end of the day leaving no trace.
7)  We had expected to find tile because every room of the house had a fireplace, but several were patched up - extremely poorly.  We did NOT want to get into opening up what we know is a non-working fireplace.  We did not just want to leave random tile showing on the floor.  We'd dealt with this tile before (see the dining room remodel), and although we tried prying it up to save it, it was impossible. We ended up smashing it and cementing over it.  In our bedroom we didn't have the time or inclination.  We didn't smash it up, but we didn't leave it visible or do anything special to it.

1) Thank you for clearing up the bird mystery...I was fairly stressed out about it after you mentioned it initially in your post...I will sleep easier tonight knowing you didn't find any feathers or entrails anywhere...

2)YOUR NEW ROOM IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!  I love it all, but I think my favorite thing is the bookshelf, and the fact that you have your books organized by color.  I'm always fighting with my book-organization, and I think I might steal your idea.  It's very appealing to the eye.

3)May I now move into your craft room?

Wow, that was quite the makeover story!  Everything came out really beautiful.  I like the books-by-color idea.

And I love the old newspaper treasure . . . especially the Jackie O tabloid story.   Grin

No more blog + no more facebook = more time for crafting!

I'm also JenGoPop at Ravelry.

Your bedroom came out fabulous.
I live in Western Pennsylvania.   Perhaps you could redo the condo my husband and I just bought.   HA HA
But what an inspirational room for me.
