Simple gathered sailor skirt with partial elastic waistband. It is made of cotton sateen, poly/cotton trim, and a sheer polyester lining. The waist ties are detachable at the front buttons  Smiley I added the rows of topstitching to the trim after the fact

Fantastic!  This will be a really fun piece for you to wear, although people won't believe you when you say you made it yourself, because it's so neat and precise (not a problem I encounter often lol)

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.
