This guy was fun to make.  He is made of paper mache.  I started with a wire armature, then added newspaper covered in wall paper paste, then paper clay was added.  He was then sanded and painted with acrylic paints.

i love him! is that what most of those little dotd figurines are made of, paper mache? i tried to make some out of sculpy. it was not easy............

I think most are made of clay, but ceramic clay.  I do make DOTD figurines using polymer clay too.  It's easier to work with on a smaller scale, but it is not easy to work with.
