Backstory: Once upon a time, I painted a sad muffin (http://deruku.deviantart.com/art/Sad-Muffin-34716043). My cousin liked it so much that he printed it out on a iron-on transfer and put it on a shirt (all by himself! I was so proud). Even after a couple years it's still one of his favorite shirts. Lately he's been going through a rough time, so I figured it was time for the muffin to get some different expressions. Which led to this:

Left to right: happy muffin, zombie muffin, cupcake muffin, cat muffin, ninja muffin, dumbfounded muffin, pirate muffin, ecstatic muffin. There is room for one more, who was going to be cowboy muffin, but I decided I wasn't really feeling it. Anyone have any ideas on what the last one can be? My roommate suggested stud muffin, which is hilarious, though I'm not sure how I could make that work.

Also, do you think I should have words next to each muffin saying what they are? I have an intense dislike for embroidering words, so if you do think I should have words, you should also tell me a quick way of getting them on there. Wink (I was seriously thinking of just taking a sharpie to it. This is going to be a wall hanging, so it's not like it'll be washed ever. But a sharpie might look messy. Who knows.)

I love the stud muffin idea!  Have you ever heard of Trogdor (from Homestar Runner)?  Essentially, he's a sketch of a dragon (his video is funny too, you can google it) that happens to have a muscular human arm.  Maybe you could use his arm?  I would flip it upside down so it looks more muscle-y...

As for words, maybe labels of some sort, telling which each muffin is?  I dunno...

you could label them like they do bug specimens under glass. print up little strips of paper with the labels on them.

you have a cat muffin, you could make a dog muffin
you could have a sad muffin with a little tear running down its face
how about a pierced muffin and add seed beads for piercings

How about a mime muffin? Or a silly faced muffin with crossed eyes, sticking his tounge out? Or a sleepy muffin? I could go on and on... I really like the stud muffin idea, but I'm not quite sure how you would convey that. You could emborder the muffin, get some metal studs and randomly place them on there.

Also I would just take a sharpie to it. Embrodering all the words seems like a pain. Just get one of those thin line sharpies.  Smiley

I love this idea!

THe first thing I thought of for the stud muffin was a muscular, flexed arm, but it wouldn't really fit in with the others if it was the only one with arms.  So my next thought was the wrapper could be his muscley beef cake chest and abs!  He could also be giving a flirty little wink?

I'm not sure if that idea would speak for itself, but the others surely do.

I don't have any suggestions, but that's probably because I really like the stud muffin idea!

This is what I thought of:

Wearing a studded collar:

or with a wall stud embedded in it:

These are fantastic, and what a sweet thing to do for your cousin!

Why not use a fabric marker to write the names? I'd be afraid that a sharpie would bleed and spread on that fabric!

My first that was a pop tart, but how about a diva muffin?  Oh, oh, and an Elvis muffin, with sunglasses and the frosting can look like his hair!
