Hiya Grin
ive started making paper - so far I made some pretty ones at college. lotsa different types
And then at home Ive used scrap paper (you know, letters etc), then i tried magazines for another, but it came out quite greyish.
So my question is - do you know where i can get colourful paper to shred, or something to make the paper pulp a pretty colour? Ive seen some packs of coloured paper, but theyre kinda expensive, n i feel silly paying all that money, then to shred the paper up, and remake paper! I havent spent any money on the equipment either, so Im trying to do this all cheaply!
Im in the uk, btw
Sorry if this is in the wrong topic
hope someone can help!

a lot of times the dollar store sells construction paper, you can also add food coloring or bits of different colored flowers.

i love personal swaps. i'm looking to swap my art or paper crafts for some re-usable fabric snack bags, fabric sandwich wraps, fabric paper towels, glass pendants, ephemera, or art books.

i agree with the food coloring. I'd say try that and then just go to a dollar store and see if they have any paper you can get for cheap.

Another way to colour paper, that I found tends to work pretty well is to use kool-aid, or drink mix packages (I'm from Canada, so I'm not entirely sure if you guys get kool-aid there. I'm just assuming you do=P ). They usually come in some pretty cool, bright, pretty colours, and they maintain the colour, even once the paper is dry (although when you're mixing the colours, you'll want to put the whole thing in if you want it really colourful).

And then food colouring definitely works, too.
