The shadows are just as important as the light.

I finally finished the princess dress for my 2-year-old niece. Here it is!!

I used McCalls 4622, which turned out to be a great pattern. I liked it so much that I went today and bought another one in the larger size to maybe someday use for my own daughters. I made one adjustment to the sleeves and did a ribbon casing for the elastic rather than the self-casing suggested by the pattern. It was easier. I also did a petticoat to help the skirt stand out.

This is only my second time inserting a lapped zipper and it went in without a hitch - yay! Here's a pic of the back, which looks pretty much like the front, I'm just adding it to be braggy.

More pics and info on my blog.

Oh that is so cute.  My daughters love dressing up as princesses.  I'm going to have to get that pattern!
