This is almost certainly the most complex amigurumi project I've done so far. I saw this pattern a while ago and filed it away in my "To Make" images, but it took an outside source to get me to go for it. I had a friend comment on a little octopus I made that was sitting on my desk. Knowing that he looooves cthulhu, I offered to make an adorable little cthulhu instead. Naturally, I wound up actually making two. Roll Eyes The beaded one is 100% silk, and the fluffier one is a blend of some sort, but I think it's mostly angora. Soooo soft!

I am so very proud of myself. They took a while, but it was well worth it.

I never thought I'd say this- what a cute Cthulhu! I definetly like he beaded one better. I don't know why, but I do.

Awwwwww.... I love the eyes you chose!  It just adds to the mind-melting, gibbering cuteness... and the beads make lil Cthulhu-kins look like he just popped out of the sea.  Very nicely done!

I love them! The beads are an especially nice touch. Nice choice of eyes, too.

It was beaded yarn. I've been dying to figure out what to do with that stuff for forever, so I figured I just needed to try it out and see what happened. It was surprisingly easy to work with, pretty much like normal crochet.
