It's been in the 90s in Minnesota, so I've taken to turning everything I can into tank tops.

I have a bin of old t-shirts and scraps which I'm slowly plowing through. My number one problem with tees is rotten armpits. My number two problem is that tees are often too short for me.

Here is one with a peacock and flower motif. Both were originally shirts from Forever 21 (notorious for weak armpits). Sorry about the industrial bra in the pics; it was too hot to change.

Here's one from a favorite fishy tee plus scraps:
before (note disgusting armpits):

after, with bonus fish face:

And here is me dreaming of a tropical vacation. With an ocean and daquiris, preferably.

Thanks for looking!

These are all fantastic!  I especially like the first one, and the straps on the second =]

Great recons! It's miserably hot here also, and I'm trying to figure out some cool things to make...

Those are freakin' adorable!  Are you using a book, or just making them up as you go along?  Either way, they are turning out great!  I love them.

very cute! I like the first one best due to the colors. They just soothe me and go well. And the last one matches really well! Almost looks like something you COULD buy in the store. The middle one is just cute!

Thanks everybody! I am glad you like. The first one is my favorite too because the two t-shirts that made it were two of my absolute favorites. I am not using a book, and usually the shapes kind of suggest themselves. That's one of the things I love about tees, the shapes are organic or proportional. Like, sleeves usual equal waist measurement.

Thanks again for all the nice comments! Craftsters are so encouraging.

Love the first one! It's so pretty - good use of the original design in the reconstruction!
