I'm new to craftster, and i've seen alot of resin objects made and i decided i had to try it!
One post that stood out to me was this (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=277662.0)
There resin plugs, and since i'm too cheap to actually spend $20 on one pair of plugs, i tried it.
This is what i ended up with:

these were my first attempt, not too bad.

second attempt, same mold. There must have been something weird going on with my mold cause these are not the same shape as the first.

Third attempt, new mold. I over filled the mole and there not perfectly round.

fourth attempt, and i had a problem with over filling again.

These are just pendents i made

this was for my friend whos been begging for a swallow necklace for a while.

A fishbowl for a friend of my moms who likes fish

What do you guys think?

Hey! Awesome work!
I would love to make plugs some day too. I totally agree that they are a bit expensive when you want something new all the time.
Nice pendants too Smiley

You're not too cheap at all... you are too creative to send $20 on one pair! These are great. I especially like the fishbowl!

That fishbowl pendant is neat! I have some resin but I've only used it as a coating for protection I'll have to try to find some molds.

Okay so once again I am completely redoing my pictures. Got tired of photobucket, the only reason I used it was for here so I decided I will just use Craftster's photo uploader. So while I am switching over my photo links will be broken. Message me if there is a post you would like the pics for.

I like the ones with the sprinkles. Smiley  I've been gauging up my ears too, and keep thinking about making my own plugs, they definitely are too expensive.

That fish is awesome!

Jeez, I'm getting old. I had no idea what a plug was. I was, like, how would that work on an airplane?

OH! Can you do a tutorial? Im thinking of guaging my ears again and I really dont want to spend the money. What mold did you use? A certain kind of resin? Is it totally safe??

I started making plugs awhile ago, a lot actually..then I never finished a lot of them (still sitting in my basement waiting for me)...one of the first ones I made were sprinkles! Glad to see someone else thought of that too!

And some others

I've started just filling tunnels now (like some others here on craftster) just because it's easier (less finishing) and I believe it is safer. I have some friends that have very sensitive ears so I'm a little iffy on giving them pairs not in tunnels. It takes time but it gets a lot easier and it's soooo much fun! Good luck!
