Abosutely love the fairy, and love the threadcatcher. I've never heard of one before, but looks like a great way to recycle all the pairs of old jeans we have.

Cute!  What did you weight the top part with?  It looks like its just got stuffing, but I know these have to be weighted to hold the threadcatcher up.  I curious b/c I want to make one, but haven't really seen what I want to use for the top part yet!  Thanks!

Genius!!!  I have just recently cut off my sons jeans (holes in the knees...lol) and hate to toss the bottom halves.  Been holding onto them for just in case...now I know what to do with them!!!

That's really nice! You've inspired me- usually, I just drop EVERYTHING (threads, excess pattern tissue / butcher paper bits, tiny scrap-lets of unusable fabric, etc.) on the floor, and sweep up after- might as well, in our household!  Wink 'Course, if I make one of these, then the floor wouldn't be as clean..... Love it! I have thus far been unable to retrain myself to do anything with threads other than put them in a pile on the table which the cat then scatters around the house. Maybe a cute little thread-catcher is just the inspiration I need.

I'm not sure what they are called but I used plastic pellets like the ones in beanie babys.some people use rice or small tiles Smiley
