Looks great.  I'd like to try this.  ONE QUESTION:  How exactly did you sew the 2 together?  That part is a little confusing for me.

Thanks for the awesome tute! I have a friend who needs some nursing tops, and she hates everything she sees in stores, so I'm passing this along to her. And I'm expecting, so I'll be needing some in the next few months, too!

Great recon...I am also a nursing mom...have you checked out a site called "Jennifer's Sewing Links" (think it is at sokolowdesign.com)?  There are mega FREE tutes for things like converting any regular bra into a nursing bra, converting your t-shirts, making various kinds of slings and fitted diapers.  Many of these baby/nursing specific links come from a site called "Jan Andrea at Home on the Web".
The nursing bra tutorial was especially wonderful (store bought ones are SO expensive); and the process is very easy.  Thanks for sharing your tutorial!
