Close-up of the zombimals! my faves the hedgehog and squirrel!

Needlebook! such a cute pattern and it has the Alexander Henry skull fabric inside too! Cheesy

Zombimals! I love it! I'm using that from now on... it just roles off the tongue so nicely! Glad you liked everything, it was *so* much fun to design and stitch. I'm going to make another one for myself Smiley

The needlebook wasn't so much a pattern, as a freeform "thing"- I started off stitching an actual recognisable shape, but hated it, so I pulled it apart and started again, just filling in the space. It was fun Smiley

OMG I LOVE the zombie animals!! I want to figure out how to transform cute little patterns into zombie ones...

It was really easy, actually! I just found all the patterns (all except the hedgehog were vintage patterns from Hoop Love, the hedgehog was a free colouring page [and took forever to find!]), then opened them in Paint (any image editing program would do the trick), then messed around for a bit. Just deleted sections of the pattern and filled it in using the pencil tool to have jagged lines, added the gashes with the pencil tool, selected a section of the pattern and moved it off skew, deleted the eyes that were there, replaced them with crosses or something that looked remotely zombie like... just basically played around until they were about "right".

I received from sazzra and she spoiled me rotten. Literally!

Here is the whole loot

in the upper left you can see the nice paper everything was wrapped in.

First the "Night of the living dead" bag. I wanted one to fold up to carry around in my purse and she made me one with a matching little purse to put in. The colour is awesome and look at all the tiny stitching.

Here is closer shot. You can see the quote Saying "They're coming to get you, Barbara" from the movie. It is made with some kind of transfer stuff I assume. And it is one of the two only movie quotes that I mangaged to memorize in my life.

and here is its purse with a very cool zombie hand on it. See all the smooth stitches on the seams? They're handmade! I admire your stitching skills!

then there was a draw string water bottle bag with a zombie and a thought balloon and a brain it that. At the top of the bag you can see a tiny little bit of the silver, insultating lining peeking out. What a great idea!

a little kitty extra: a felt zombie filled with catnip. This is way to cute to let it be ripped apart by those catmonsters and I will use it as a pincushion. It has all that detailed stitching on it. Love the colour contrast of the red and green.

she also added a cicada draw string bag "to sing me to sleep". Look at all the details on the head and the tail and the neat bead stitching! I love it!

at last there was an towel with an zombie illustration (sorry for the bad photo. Could not get a better one. I am not quite shure what she used for it. Some kind of shiny colour, looks a bit like plastic. It is a zombie dreaming of a cupcake. See even the brainers cannot get enough of it. It is "for making cupcakes and washing up afterwards". Sweetens up this nasty part of the baking, doesn't it?!

Thank you sazzra for this zombtastic package! Everything is so nicely made and so detailed. Kudos to you!

P.S. All the bags are lined of course!

I am collecting any kind of skull shaped beads and patches-feel free to send me spare ones  ;-)

Love the cicada bag!  We used to "hatch" them when I was growing up and then put the castoff shells onto each others backs.  Ah memories! Grin

For some reason, I thought sending deadline was Monday!  Undecided Oh well, I should be ready to send in the morning, but extra time is always appreciated Wink

Glad you liked it, Glamis. The plastic stuff is some weird fabric paint I got, so I hope it doesn't disintegrate in the washing machine! Probably best to wash it by hand to check - yes, I'm that nervous of it Undecided

Weird that the pic before that was zombimals - the undead are obviously more popular than we think! Did that bag make anyone think of a South Park episode, though? Huh

No longer swapping, so please ignore any expressions of interest in the Ideas thread
