My bff is half way through her first pregnancy and just found out that she's having a boy. So I had to make him a little blue hat! I used Bernat Cot'n Corn in Water. My first project with this yarn and it's a bit splitty to work with but creates a nice soft fabric.
I used the Umbilical Hat from the original Stitch N Bitch book...it's a pattern that I will use over and over because I freakin' love it.

Possibly the cutest baby hat I've ever seen. Umbilical hat, ftw.

Some girls were just born with glitter in their veins.

I'd rather craft than go to work.

Oh i love that pattern too, it seems somehow Dr Suess-y to me.  You did a lovely job.  Babies are the best to knit for, gotta love em.

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.

your hat is stunning!!  I love it.

Don't sweat the small stuff.
