I finally took a pic today with all the pieces in it, including the baby.  Now doesn't he look happy with his new bed set?

When I was 9 months pregnant I realized that it was was impossible to find bedding for an old fashioned cradle, so with a few yards of fabric and some spare time that I didn't really have I whipped this up:

And my little cat helper Rupert tested it out just to make sure it was comfy!

My little boy loves it and it has really worked out well.  I couldn't be happier with it.

P.S.  It also has a matching bumper pad that is brown flannel on the inside and the polka dot on the outside.  It is trimmed with red piping and ties with red ribbon.

This is lovely, you did a great job!
I also picked up a cradle for mine (due in Dec) and I was planning on making the bumpers...mind if I ask what you used in the center for padding?
